My Holiday

On the last weekend of the school holidays I went to my dad’s house. It took 3 hours to get there because he lives in Putaruru.

When we got to Mokau we stopped for lunch. We got McDonald’s for lunch. I got a Big Mac with chips and I got a chocolate  milkshake.Then we left.

We finally got to dad’s house. We got fish and chips for dinner. At 9:30pm we went to bed, and there was thunder and lightning that night. Addison, Mackenzie and I slept in a room together. Dad slept in his room and Peyton crashed on the couch.


We woke up and dad said “ get some nice warm clothes on, we’re going to the Hamilton Zoo.” We took dads work ute and his car.
Mackenzie, Addison and I  went with Kayla, Peyton went with dad. It took 45 min to get to the zoo.

We saw  monkeys, tigers, birds , these hamster things and all sorts. On the way

Boot Camp 2018

There goes the whistle Boot Camp 2018 has finally started. We raced into our groups and we got our mascot’s. We had tweety bird and then we were told to get in our groups again and we named our selves the Colonel Malone’s. Then we went to our second activity and we got our dog tags. There were four name’s that we would be called. They are Sergeant, Captain, Lieutenant and private. Each activity we get sticker’s if we earn them. Every time someone become’s a a Lieutenant or captain or a sergeant we’d have a a type of ceremony.

“Quickly let’s go”the whistle blew as we all dashed down to where we meet. “Alright listen up we are going to play spotlight”. We got in group’s of four Jessica had know one to go with so she went with us so we had five people. Major general stark picked 4 people to find everyone. The first 2 round’s we got found then we found the best hiding spot ever it was next to Ella and Madison. We didn’t get found that round we hid in a bush and  I got stuff in my hair it was from the bush’s. One of the round’s we hid in the flax it was really uncomfortable. Some hid on the playground the tree’s sounded like they were whispering to each other. When they stopped it was completely silent all we heard were the sound off sticks being crunched up as people were being found. “YAY” we said in excitement as we heard three whistle’s blow we finally won a round. We went back and Major General Stark. And Fergus said bedtime so we brushed our teeth and went to the toilet. Hoped into our pajamas's and went to bed.




“Alright camper’s” as three whistles blew we raced into our group’s. We all went with adult’s to where we were going to start the walk. We went in a paddock and Mrs Stark took her car we walked through about five paddock's and we finally made it to the dam. I got butterfly's but when I hoped in I was fine.  When we got back to the camp site it was dinner time.





Next year I hope we can do something like it again. I loved it a lot hopefully next year is a  lot like it was this year.

My first goal is to try a new food that i have never eaten before like an eggplant. because I have never tried a eggplant before.

my second goal is trying something new because i might learn something about what the activity is about.

end of year reflection

End of Year Reflection What has been the best part of 2017 for you? My best part of 2017 was Going to konini lodge because i got to stay two nights and three days with my friends and we went for long bush walks. My second best part of 2017 was tabloid sports because I saw my cousins and it was really fun i learnt a lot of new games. What is something you have been proud of in 2017? Something I have been proud of this year is my handwriting because I have improved with my handwriting. What do you think that good learners do? Sometimes I don't know how to spelling a word so I just try and then check it at the end. What is one way that you show that in class? By getting into my work straight away. What is one Toko Learning Star that you would like to work on and why? Personal best managing ourselves and our belongings. What is one learning goal you are currently working on, what are you doing to achieve it? Using capital letters and full stops correctly If you were going to give yourself a message for learning in 2018, what would it be? To never give up if something is hard.
