End of Year Reflection What has been the best part of 2017 for you? My best part of 2017 was Going to konini lodge because i got to stay two nights and three days with my friends and we went for long bush walks. My second best part of 2017 was tabloid sports because I saw my cousins and it was really fun i learnt a lot of new games. What is something you have been proud of in 2017? Something I have been proud of this year is my handwriting because I have improved with my handwriting. What do you think that good learners do? Sometimes I don't know how to spelling a word so I just try and then check it at the end. What is one way that you show that in class? By getting into my work straight away. What is one Toko Learning Star that you would like to work on and why? Personal best managing ourselves and our belongings. What is one learning goal you are currently working on, what are you doing to achieve it? Using capital letters and full stops correctly If you were going to give yourself a message for learning in 2018, what would it be? To never give up if something is hard.

New writing goal

Goal- I've stayed with my old goal because I think I still need to work on capital letters and full stops


I chosen this goal because I need to keep practicing putting my capital letters in the right place so it makes sense because if it doesn't make sense i will have to go back and put them in the right place.

Bike safety

Goal - Write a recount about bike safety. Use capital letters and full stops in the correct places. On Tuesday the 7th of November we had bike safety with Senior Jono. The gear we needed for bike safety was a bike and a helmet. For bike safety we practised on the basketball court. First we went around the basketball court until senior Jono said stop and head to the back field. Next senior Jono checked our brakes just to make sure they were steady. Then we raced around the court but we didn't actually do a race we did it like it was the road. Finally we went down to the backfield and had two slow races and two fast race. Sam came first in both of the fast races Declan won both of the won all of the races.

Business Reflection Over the last few weeks we have been researching and looking at websites about our businesses.My group has been looking at how we can spend less money because we are spending too much money.We have decided that we will be trying to sell chickens, make graphs, make grain, compost, building nesting boxes, and grow.

One day his dad asked him to mow the lawns or no pocket money. That day Hemi thought there was a better way to mow the lawns. So he went in the garage and found his dad’s nose hair remover. He also got four old steak knives, a few guitar strings, a laser and a old computer. He stayed up all night building it he failed a couple of time’s. To do it but he did it all night. By morning it was ready to go. He wheeled it into the backyard and he took the sheet off it. He grabbed its remote control and then he typed in mower start.”Boop” went the starting button on the control. Then he had a little nap and then he heard a whole crowd scream. Hemi went to go see what everyone was screaming about. And Hemi saw his crazy lawn mower machine has gone crazy it’s trying to shave all off the buildings Hemi said to himself that I must not have made it properly. Then the robot was on his way to town and Hemi heard lots of screams and he could tell it was already there. Inside Hemi knew what he had to do he ran to town with another laser and it saw the laser and started to chase Hemi dun dun duh. Finally said Hemi the robot lawn mower was coming home and then Hemi stayed up all night again fixing it. When his dad told him that he had to go mow the lawns Hemi actually stayed awake and the mower went crazy so Hemi got the laser and said I am actually going to be a good boy and mow the lawns myself. So I get more pocket money I am actually going to mow the neighbor's lawns and I will have enough money to buy as much chocolate and lollies as I want. I better start by asking the neighbours if he could mow their lawns, especially Mrs Laws lawns, her lawns really need to be mowed.

Calendar art reflection

Goal - Produce a piece of art using mixed media. What i did - first we copied it on a piece of paper for a practise piece then we did the real one what we needed was a paint brush some newspaper or something that you can get paint on that won't stain the table something to cover your clothes if you are wearing something new you also need a clean copy then you gotta paint the background then paint the tree then you paint the branches and leaves. What i liked the most-i liked the sketching the most.

Goals - always use capital letters and full stops correctly. Reason - I chose this goal because I never put my full stops or capital letters in the right place because I don’t know where they go.

 Speech board reflection What I spoke about  -my lamb what his name is how much to feed him how to feed him what he looks like. What I did well - I spoke fluently in my speech and my poem. How I could improve next time - add some more info about my lamb and add some more tips.

Sean was the biggest kid in the Stoneybrook neighbourhood. He was so strong that he could lift a bus WITH HIS BARE HANDS!! You might be thinking he is a hero because he is so strong, but he was actually a big fat bully. One day he shook a bus and the kids fell out. He hung Arthur Johnson a kid with ginger hair with one hand by his leg.’Well if it isn't Arthur Johnson the nerdy kid, have you got any nuggets for me today little nerd?”Then a new kid called big Steve, he was even bigger then Sean and please, believe me Sean was big.

Steve walked up behind Sean and said ‘’Big Steve smells chicken nuggets, Big Steve wants the chicken nuggets’’. Sean then gulped down the chicken nuggets before Big Steve could steal them. Suddenly Big Steve reached into his bag and pulled out a paint can, pink was the colour of this peculiar can, ‘’ my bad’’he said sarcastically. The uniforms were green but Sean's had turned pink because Big Steve tipped it on him and then the kids started to laugh and Big Steve said what are you silly little kids laughing at, you better watch out or you will be next.

The normal sized kids were sick of getting bullied by Sean now there was another big kid so they made a plan. The plan was to order some super inflatable chicken nuggets. One second later the super inflatable chicken nuggets truck arrived. They gobbled the whole box of nuggets down. For that reason the two bullies got big and big and bigger about as big as a Blue Whale that had been blown up. Fleur, Clark, Arthur and Lewis pushed the bullies up into the air. Sean and Big Steve both flew up out of the earth.  Fleur, Clark, Arthur and Lewis were having so much fun watching Big Steve and Sean blow up into the air. The bullies flew up, up and up, straight up into the air. They were arguing for a little while. “ the only way to get down from here is to help each other, we have to pop.” Suddenly a satellite came racing through the air and the boys came flying towards it. “POP” was the only sound that you heard, oh and the motor of the satellite. They flew back to earth and became normal sized kids again. And they became friends. Everything was fine in Stoneybrook until big Stewart came along.

calf and lamb day reflection

W.a.l.t-Reflect on our calf and lamb day work.

What I did - This Year I did a rock art frog. First I had to pick a rock, next Mrs Fergus had to spray paint my rock white. Then I had to find a picture of a frog and then I drew it on and then I had to colour it in.

What I  would change-Next time I will add more colour and the outline.

Other comments-I liked my frog especially the name Bouncer. I am very proud of my creation because it really popped out and all of the colours blended in with the frog.

Lost and found

Lost and found This morning mom reminded me to cheek the lost and found so just to make her happy I took a look around .[ jessica] The box was like a stinky mouth whose grin was dark and wide I gulped and took a monster breath then reached my arm inside . [maddy] I dug around without a sound through swirls of clothes and dirt to my delight , the box split out my favroute soccer shirt.[ Charlize] I peered a little deeper down ,and there , to my surprise a little face gazed up at me with with wide and eager eyes . maddy/jess I took a triple double take and saw it was my sister it's sad to think -for several weeks we hadn't even missed her Ted scheu

diary plan #1

" It was a cold Monday winter morning when Mr Dillon brought Room 5 some chicken eggs." We are about to put our eggs in the incubator and hoping they would hatch on the 21st of August. I think only 5 would hatch if five would hatch I would be sad. I felt super excited I think that at least 15 would survive. I feel like the one hatching I think it might not hatch. Its now the 21st of August 1 egg hatched I cant wait till another egg hatchs. Now its the 22nd we have about 8 eggs now I am so excited.

Mid year reflection

My favourite activity so far this year was- maths because I like doing fractions and that's what we are doing.

I was helpful to someone else when-they fell over the reason I was helpful to them is because I helped them up.

Something I have learned so far this year was-how to look after the chickens because we are now in charge  of the chickens.

A piece of work I am most proud of is-my hundertwasser because I took my time.

Something I am looking forwards to is-tryathlon because i like running and I want to come 1st 2nd or 3rd. 

My next learning step is-to get better at my reading because I always miss lines in the book.

Weekly reflection-term 2, week 2

what-this week  we have been learning about the chicken coop you need to clean it out every once and a while!

so what-we are going to try our best to look after the chicken's!

guess what-this week i have been really good  with my math's! 

Term 2 goals

Personal goal-my personal goal is to improve my learning to learn because I need to search for info.

Academic goal -my academic goal is to learn about the chickens so if I can be a chicken feeder I don't over feed them.

It was a windy and dark Tuesday night. Me and Leslie had goosebumps because we were outside because we were going for a bush walk. I was so scared because Toppy was making possum noises. We had beanies as blindfolds so we couldn’t see we had to follow a rope. Me and Sharna jumped because Mr Harvey scared the life out of us. We took our blindfolds/beanies off because we were so super scared. I fell in one puddle but only my legs got wet. I was so scared I just about jumped out of my pants that was how scared I was I felt weird I wanted to go home we did it twice and they felt the same. I was told Toppy tripped Leah up and made Jessica cry then we went back to the lodge and went to bed the end.

REFLECTION WEEK 8

what-Last week we learned 3d shapes we learned how to fold a net in to a 3d shape

so what-we learned brain gym all we do is exercise to turn on our brain

Week 7 REFLECTION

What- last week I learned tryathlon the course was changed we go down to the corner of the backfield we run along the side 2 laps of the top field then 2 laps of the pool then hop out.

so what-i still want to learn how to do long jump.

Guess what- last wednesday on cluster swimming i learned how to do breast stroke.
